Applications on prescribed forms are invited for admission
in the following degree programs:
Ph.D/M.Phill/MS

Eligibility Criteria:
►Ph.D: 18 years of education (Annual system 1st
Division, Semester System CGPA 3.0/4 or 3.5/5.0)
►M.Phil/MS: 16 years of education (Annual system 2st
Division, Semester System CGPA 2.5/4 or 3.0/5.0) in relevant field.
►Additional Scores:
→GAT General, relevant category for M.Phil/MS
→GAT subject/GRE subject for Ph.D (local/international) as
per HEC policy for further details please visit www.hec.gov.pk
Note: The applicant should submit their NTS/GAT/GRE
result at the time of test/interview.
Master Degree Programs:
►MBA (3.5 years) & MBA (executive) (2 year)
BA/B.Sc/B.com/BBA 2 years or equivalent at least with 2nd
division from an HEC recognized institution. Admission in MBA (executive)
requires additional work experience of 4 year for 14 year education and 2 year
for 16 year education.
►MBA(1.5 year)
BBA/B.Com 2 year or equivalent at least with 2nd
division.
►MPA | M.Sc(HRM) | M.Sc (Banking & Finance)
BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA 2 year or equivalent at least 2nd
division from an HEC recognized institution.
►M.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics,
Economics, Sociology, Statistics) | MA (English) | LLB (3 years | no age limit)
Graduate or equivalent at least with 2nd division
in the relevant field, the list of approved combinations for admission in each
discipline may be obtained from the concerned department.
►MA (Education) | B.Ed (1 year | no age limit)
BA/B.Sc & B.Ed at least with 2nd division
►LLB (5 years | with age limit of 22 years)
→Pre-Law degree Foundation Certificate Program (1-6 Months |
no age limit)
→Pre-Law degree Foundation Diploma Program (6-12 Months | no
age limit)
Intermediate or equivalent with at least 2nd
division.
Required Documents
- Attested copies of all educational certificate
- Character certificate issued by college last attended
- Two copies of Domicile & State Subject Certificate
- Two copies of computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)
- 4 recent passport size photographs

need based and French need based scholarships are available.
HOW & WHERE TO APPLY
The applications must be sent on prescribed forms. The
prospectus and application form can be obtained from the directorate of
students” affairs, UMSIT, kotli (AJ&K) against payment of Rs.1200/- through
any branch of HBL or by sending Bank draft of Rs.1300/- drawn in the name of
Treasurer, UMSIT, Kotli (AJ&K). Candidates applying for more than one
department or categories should deposit Rs. 400/- per additional form, complete
application should reach to the office of directorate of students’ affairs not
later than 3-12-2015 during the office hours. The application form is also
available on university website www.umsit.edu.pk.
The bank challane of Rs.1200/- pr Bank Draft of Rs.1300/- must be attached with
application form, otherwise, the form will not be entertained.
IMPORTANT NOTE
- Entry test is mandatory for MBA, MPA, M.Com, M.Sc (HRM), M.Sc (Banking and finance) and M.Phill/MS & Ph.D
- Candidate will have to deposit Entry test fee of Rs. 500/- in any of HBL branch for all programs and will have to show the deposit slip at the time of entry test.
- In service employees have to produce NOC from their respective employer.
- The candidate applying against the reserved quota will have to submit their application form to this university within due date, failing which will not be considered eligible for admission against the quota seat.
- No separate call letter will be issued for entry test.
